The team will be leaving on the
6th of January 2011 and
returning on the 25th.
WHERE?
The team will be going to the Faith Academy in the Philippines and also to the slums in Manila, Cogeo, Trece, and Calapan on the Island of Mindoro.

We need your loving support in prayer and finances.
Apart from costs of travel (air, sea and
land) and accommodation and costs through
OMF, we also want to buy stationary supplies
etc to give to the urban poor.
We are also taking soft toys to give to poor
children to have something to cuddle, and raising
money for MegaVoice Ambassadors, small
speaking Bibles which are solar-powered and cost
approx $40-$50 each.
Approximate cost for us all to go =
$12,000 (includes $9768 for return plane
ticket, $2078.50 for accommodation and
costs with OMF plus extras.)
If you would like to give money towards
the mission of our church to the
Philippines, there are marked envelopes
available to go through the plate, or give
directly to the Mission team members.
WHAT will we DO?
In Australia: We have been preparing
for most of this year in team meetings
and with OMF staff experienced in this
area. OMF has a very thorough process for
enabling and training short-term missionaries
and we have been formally presented to
and commissioned by the Serve Asia OMF
supporters at Epping, Sydney.
In the Philippines: We will be doing
concerts in up to 5 urban poor areas to
attract people to hear the Gospel from
their own people.
The team will be running youth
group activities, drama, games and Sundayschool with the urban poor, sharing testimonies
and the Gospel, prayer and interaction
with people as we help in whatever
way is needed.
At Faith Academy we will be assisting
and participating in classrooms and
chapel, encouraging Missionary kids and giving
practical help where it is needed.
WHAT to PRAY?
For us to have time and energy to
prepare dramas, music, testimonies etc
For safe travel, good health and energy
and coping with cultural differences
For wisdom in engaging with the urban
poor as the Lord leads us
For wisdom in relating with staff and
students at Faith Academy
Times of stillness and prayer to draw
near to God, both before and during
and after the mission
For good relationships within the team
as we grow together, understanding
ourselves and each other
For servant hearts as we minister in
the name of Jesus
